The Value Factory is one of the venues for UABB, the architecture biennale of Shenzhen in China. This former glass factory was rebuilt as a temple dedicated to architecture and design, with a studio, an academy, a gallery, an auditorium, a restaurant and more.
This project was curated by Ole Bouman, who asked us to create the identity and signage for the factory.
Because the reconstruction of the factory greatly respected and enhanced its original materials, we decided to follow this path with the identity. The recognizable chimney is present in the logo and in a tailor-made typeface, and the signage uses colour layers and transparencies in various materials (glass, vinyl and paint), recalling the original product: glass.
